The lyrics on this album are simple, but not shallow. Fewer adjectives, more straightforward syntax. But truly no one has ever matched Taylor for her cadence and rhythm. What syllables and phrases she emphasizes, where she breathes.

If you are looking at this album as anything other than a big satirical joke, then I get why it’s getting so much hate. On the surface, these lyrics are just basic and lazy af. For anyone not taking in the “performance art” of it all, I totally understand why it’s giving “flop”.

i was on holiday for most of sept which was so great and fun but fucking draining as hell. i am v much a ‘will only leave the house when necessary’ which is normally 1-2 days a week max, so now i need to hibernate and never leave again
