Frontlines were hit hard dealing with #Covid & hyperinflation. Some became #PWD's. We need a strong infrastructure for next pandemic.
I wish @bcgeu.bsky.social & unions would advocate #fairness #dignity #solidarity for #PWD's who get only 1/2 the Minimum Wage! More PWD's in BC than BCGEU members.

And what happens to these selfie posts? Nothing. PWD’s get ghosted by family, friends, neighbours. Because apparently seeing suffering is hard. Maybe they should try actually suffering for once to get some empathy! Parents & teachers are raising a bunch of snowflakes.

I couldn’t sleep last night! Arrgh. I need Dayvigo after all. Zoplidem did nothing. Oxycodone didn’t make me sleepy either. Stress & exertion too high. Life is tough.

These flags reflect my life, my home, my health. Meanwhile my neighbors, incl a husband who used to work for ICBC, have spent so much money on their yard & house while mine continues to decline. ICBC did not give me a fair settlement after starving me out, and BC’s legal system favors the rich.

My Rhodesian Ridgeback cross loves human food. He had a rough first 3 months of life being starved in a puppy mill. (That guy got arrested the next year stealing $8000 from a Ucluelet pharmacy.)

Now the battle is with #trans rights & #disability rights. Even #worker rights are back in the news. #Democracy is threatened again, on the eve of a Canadian federal election. Citizens forgot about the freedoms & rights hard fought by our veterans. Did my boyfriend & my friend go to war for nothing?

The world is full of self-righteous people who think they are good only because authoritarian systems have wrongfully supported them all along. It took gay rights a long time to be achieved. Human rights today were still human rights decades ago, just not recognized back then.

Pink shirt day rings hollow when people blatantly exclude PWD's. There's no pride parade for PWD's. PWD's who are too sick/injured to work are living in poverty, with govt funding at half the Minimum Wage, 1/3 of the Living Wage. A few PWD's seek MAiD to escape poverty & lack of social supports.

Double-pendulum. Lowest energy mode where both pendulums are in sync. First half of video, not enough energy to go chaotic. Second half of video, I increase the amplitude just a little bit and it goes chaotic.

Summer 2021 had so much hope. Recovering from a second surgery in Colorado, I was seriously working on my sailboat for the first time in 7 yrs. Short-lived because I got a vaccine injury 2 weeks after this photo was taken.

Finally someone calls it the proper term “weather bomb”, not “bomb cyclone” which occurs in the northwest areas of oceans usually.
He talks about the upper air, although he doesn’t refer to them as “steering winds”.

Upper air charts (Nov 22,Nov 20,Sept 26,Mar 11). “Steering winds” not blowing surface Low’s east. Laminar flow earlier in Sept replaced by turbulent flow. Surface Low intensified by upper air Low. I suspect air higher up flowing faster sucking that upper air Low.

Upper winds alluded to in this article but it’s not really that complicated. Certainly not as complicated as Hadley cells & Coriolis force explaining trade wind directions.

I’m glad media was warning people. I’m pissed off by conspiracy theorists who said it was fear-mongering using term “bomb cyclone” when it’s an old term I learned in 1998 while prepping to sail from BC to NZ. Last leg from Tonga to NZ is known for weather bombs which involve upper winds. #bcstorm

In Sept 1998, I was in 45-ft seas & 60-knot winds on my 42-ft sailboat. USCG Barracuda cracked their mast in the rough seas coming out to assist us. Their 96-mile SAR radar only saw us at 3 miles. Not fun.
