It is a reminder that non-binary people exist beyond and outside the traditional boxes the society tries to place them in.

In Gorom, South Sudan, a community of LGBTI+ refugees fleeing Uganda is struggling without food or aid, hoping for a better future. This is their story.

After being ostracized by all our friends and relatives due to our sexual and gender orientations, we are destitute and starving without anywhere to run for financial support for food, good medical care, and other basic needs. That's the situation in which we LGBTQ refugees live.

The year is 2025; We are in the 2nd quarter of the 21st century. This shouldn't be the time, in human history, when anybody has to leave the comfort of their home country due to homophobia related persecution.
