Jasmine is working on a Star Trek episode - if only

It's not queer history, but... we had a great time today at the Pride Centre watching the AFL grand final with friends (yes we admit it we are sports gays) - and I also picked up a copy of @darcygreenwrites.bsky.social 'After the Siren'! Super excited to read this queer footy romance.

This week we journeyed into the 1962 'Circle of Sex', published by sexologist Gavin Arthur. Gavin used 12 archetypes to explain the range of human sexuality. Here's the full list if you're curious about 1960s sexology - the text is from Michael R Meyer's The Astrology of Relationship (1976).

I'm struggling with the internal conflict between wanting to enjoy the spring weather, and wanting to actually be able to see my screen when I'm editing... (Sherlock Holmes episode coming to you soon!)

After a monster recording, editing for days and technical difficulties in the upload, Queer as Fact is proud to present our episode on French revolutionary figure Maximilien Robespierre, whose apparent lack of sexuality has been a point of discussion for scholars ever since his death.

No, we haven’t lost our minds - this is 19th-century diarist Anne Lister’s secret code which she used to write about her lesbian love-affairs. In total she wrote around 6600 pages of diaries, giving us a unique (and sometimes racy) insight into the life of a 19th-century lesbian!

Finally finished @mattbaume.bsky.social's wonderful history of queerness in American sitcoms - Hi Honey, I'm Homo!

An impeccably well-researched and thoroughly fascinating look at a medium often seen as kind of frivolous - we don't do many episodes on TV shows but this book is making me want to...
