I reread The Hunger Games not that long ago and they really stand up as brilliant works of fiction - haven't read the other two series, and also read The Giver way too long ago! I'll be keen to see your thoughts on them all!

Thank you ❤️ I’m sure it’ll also take time to rebuild the community on a new platform, so hopefully the next few months sees an improvement!

Hello Womble! I’m reaching the end of three reads, all great ones to end the year on: Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari, The Book that Wouldn’t Burn by Mark Lawrence (excellent audiobook), and Voyage of the Damned by Frances White - I suspect I’ll finish that last one today, as I can’t put it down!

Can only speak for myself but could be a wider issue - I’m so burnt out by other things that even just occasionally posting my own stuff is hard, I don’t often get time to look at what other bloggers are doing atm… I try and share and interact when I can!

Having said that I did *have* to start the audiobook of The Book That Wouldn’t Burn because my hold of it finally came through on BorrowBox and I am loving it so far!

Two of my favourite series to listen to are The Rivers of London books by Ben Aaronovitch and the Paladin books by T. Kingfisher

My brother was kind of the same, he went from rereading Wimpy Kid books to being obsessed with Dracula and then discovered books by Amor Towels and realised he really likes contemporary fiction, so that could be a route to pursue? Also Donna Tartt
