Behold! Visibility. 👁️🏳️‍⚧️

Even more relevant in the now than it was four years ago (almost to the day) and thus important to share around once more.

Take it to heart. This is deep wisdom. This is truth.

In lieu of recent selfies, have photos of me testing out some LARP costuming from a full *5* years before I started HRT in 2019. I was not out about being trans (like 2 people knew, tops) yet I only played femme presenting characters. So stealth.

I miss the hell out of this look, it was hot.

If anything has ever changed my view of Hell and what it represents and how to not give way to it, it is probably this explanation of the role it plays in the setting of the ttrpg Nobilis:

One must withhold their shit for the sacrament of the Buc-ees toilets and their immaculate state; awaiting our excrement as if they were doing the work of a sin-eater. Allowing us to be empty and cleansed that we may fill ourselves within their temples of gasoline and BBQ decadence once more.

Arise ye king-slayers. Bring low this self proclaimed tyrant and burn their flesh in the purifying fires of our liberty. Melt their crown and their throne to build blades sharpened on this fallen king's bones as a reminder to those who would dare to proclaim the divine right to rule over us all.

Burn this into your skull to remember it:

Control is a weapon for fascists. |

The fear, the cruelty, all of it is all about making you give up so you will obey in advance, surrendering control willing they haven't yet taken, and will then use to break you and eradicate you.

Let's be very clear; it's ok to do *a lot* more than just punch Nazis. 🩸

#13 a game I will be running soon

Triangle Agency. Control meets Severance meets The Office. I'm always a sucker for surreal takes on and meta commentary of corporate weirdness 🔺

#12 a game I need to get around to running at some point

Starchildren/Velvet Generation. Aliens set off to Earth, drawn here by the rock music of the 60s/70s, only to arrive in a time of authoritarianism where music has been outlawed. So now they're ushering in a rock and roll revolution.

#11 first gaming book on my shelves (at the moment, I badly need to reorganize them)

Fate of Cthulhu. Call of Cthulhu meets the Terminator franchise. Travel back in time to stop an apocalypse caused by the rise of the Great Old Ones before it can happen.

#10 lets diverge for a second, here are photos of one of my bookcases of gaming books. If you see something you'd like me to call out, chime in and I'll do so.

(yes I know need to dust them)

#9 a game that shares the first letter of my surname

Sigmata: This Signal Kills Fascists. An intense game that delivers on its premise: radio-powered cyborgs fighting against a fascist regime. Also it's a well researched read on ethical insurgency. I highly recommend it *for reasons.*

#8 randomly picking one off my shelf of gaming books...

Crescendo of Violence. A dystopian cyberpunk game with stylized neon noir trappings. Cinematic af and reminds me a lot of the game Transistor by Supergiant Games.

#7 a game that if you have heard of then we should be friends

Unknown Armies (3rd edition). Possibly my favorite urban horror occult ttrpg aside from M:tA. The whole way in which magick works within UA is something I adore and the tone and vibes of this game keep it forever in my to 5.

#6 a game you've probably never heard of

Meanwhile, In the Subway. A surrealist game inspired by and presented as a subway map. Beautifully weird, simple to play, and fairly obscure. the perfect trifecta of my interests.

#5 a game I'm playing

Apocalypse Keys. A game about powerful individuals struggling to find and/or hold on to the humanity and place in the world while also being dangerously monstrous beings tasked with preventing possible apocalypses.
