Since the start of this year, Elon Musk has repeatedly posted about UK politics and grooming gangs at a significant rate.

BBC Verify has examined a 24-hour snapshot of his X timeline and found a wave of misinformation amplified in the posts.

Maybe because middle class women of a certain age are in a position to call out this shit without fear of losing a salary they need. And can do it on behalf of young women starting out in their careers who are just as sick of this shit but can’t say anything because they need to earn a living.

Why did Jeff Bezos appoint Rupert Murdoch's right-hand man to the top job at Washington Post? To do his bidding. And when he did journalists & readers rebelled.

This week, I write about a parallel revolt inside the Guardian & Observer & why press ownership matters

The Times journalist who fought to get the story about the Reform MP who kicked his girlfriend multiple times @georgegreenwood.bsky.social tells how hard the newspaper had to right to get the information released.

So who has been protecting the Reform MP?
As an addendum to this, it took four months to get this information, which would have been publicly available at the time of conviction.

The Times had to appoint counsel and attend a hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court to secure its release. That is not an expense all publishers can afford.

Notable that some of the leading online voices among the 'No Farmers No Food' lot are big 'twitter' and sm names that have pivoted from the anti-15-minute city, anti-vax and anti-lockdown movements to farming.

I see too that a lot of the Spiked/RCP tendency are involved.

How privatisation works (and Thames Water is just the latest example).
1. A government takes a national asset built up with taxpayers' money and the work of public servants over many years, and hands it, for a fraction of its value, to a private company.
2. In doing so, it creates a monopoly.
