I baked some banana & chocolate chip oat cookies today! I think next time I'd make a bigger-sized batch of smaller individual cookies for texture reasons, but they're still really yummy!

It felt…normal. Of course. What did he expect? Heat? Pain? A throb of latent evil reacting to his touch? All he felt was his own magic, tingling in his hand with the urge to cast a healing spell, to try and make it better, make it disappear. It wouldn't ever disappear, though. It could heal, and it could fade, and it could become a memory, a story, but all the magic in the world could not make it vanish. It would always be there.

Temenos hummed thoughtfully. "Or, they rowed back and forth multiple times to transport everyone across." A logic puzzle he remembered from childhood occurred to him, about getting a group of sheep and wolves from one side of a river to the other. The raft to transport them could only carry two at most, and the sheep had to outnumber the wolves at every turn, or they would be eaten.

I made some banana muffins today (tasty!) and then saw a weird rainbow 🌈

He sank in to his neck and lifted a damp hand to run it through his hair, massaging the water into his scalp. He felt weightless in the water, his fatigue lifted in its arms, his aches soothed in its embrace. The crackle of the fire at their camp and the trilling of distant insects were pleasant white noise, as was the gentle sloshing of the water with his and Crick's movements. With slow and deep breaths, he floated back to a calmer state.

Situated at the cathedral's centre, it overlooks the holy altar and the rows of pews stretching far back. He has looked upon it many times before, but never before has it seemed to look back. Even where he stands, far from it in the entrance hall, Crick feels the window and its intricate patterning watching him like an eye. His stomach turns nervously. "Are you sure about this?" "Quiet. You dare speak without permission in the house of Aelfric, sinner?" After their last little game, Crick has a new idea. Temenos, of course, indulges him.

He imagined resistance flashing across Crick’s face before he could hide it, the only tell of his true feelings beneath his responsibility. Now that Temenos had seen Crick when he hadn’t known he was looking, it was impossible to forget the lightness, the freeness in his expression. The young man behind the Godsblade. He couldn’t cope with seeing it again, not right now. He couldn’t cope with the knowledge that if he did look, he wouldn’t see any resistance at all, either.

saw a woolly friend today. there were actually loads grazing by the side of the road, not giving a single fuck about the cars, but this one stopped and posed for the camera.
