I am worried about how the next administration will handle science funding, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned anywhere: the National Science Foundation (NSF) was MUCH better off under Bush and Trump compared Obama and Biden. How can that possibly be if Democrats are the party of science?
Figure shows an increasing trend in funding for the national science foundation under Bush from FY2002 to FY2009, a decrease under Obama from FY2010 to FY2017, an increase under Trump from FY 2018 to FY2021, and a decrease under Biden from FY2022 to FY2025.
