it’s so interesting to see all their individual personalities play out. both anconas are a bit bold and sassy but dottie isn’t as much as her sister. lottie also has a higher reproductive drive, both for mating and for nesting. aaand she just gave nelly a nip on the butt. naughty! like i said!

she just did this to one of the oldest ducks, dorothy the buff, who jumped up in the air in surprise and immediately gave lottie hell 🤣

one of the ancona babies is a real prankster. i still don’t know which is which bc they haven’t ID’d them so im going to just call this one lottie (the other is dottie). but she’s real bold.. if she knows another duck turned away hasn’t seen her, she will always scare them with a nip in the butt LOL
