NIH Indirect Rates -
There is a basic misunderstanding about the NIH's indirect cost rate (ICR). The ICR is applied only to DIRECT costs, not the total (let's call that the F&A rate). Thus, a 50% ICR = a 33% F&A rate, which is very good for private sector R&D.
