wrt role models, there is responsibility on people not to put those they admire on a pedestal, as they are still people. I feel like as long as artists aren't using the vulnerabilities of their audiences, it's not on us to sanitize our image for those who won't think critically.

Self dx CAN be unproductive, and lead you down unhelpful paths, sure. But when done responsibly, and based on good research, it's often how you determine what care to seek out. Not having any idea what's wrong can make finding treatment even more confusing and difficult.

The way transmascs (and adjacent nb ppl) have been treated in the trans and queer communities has upset me for years, it's been so damaging and no one dared talk about it for so long I felt like I was crazy. Really glad to see more people speaking out lately, we have been silenced for too long
