As a contractor that’s driving all over Raleigh NC today, traffic is noticeably lighter today. My guys are staying home today to stay safe. Many others doing the same. Lowe’s and HDs are quiet. I’d be thrilled for this to also serve as a show of economic power shown by those being targeted.

Coming out isn’t a one-time only thing. Every interaction with a stranger presents this opportunity/risk. Whether that is checking in to a hotel or getting into a taxi. Because I’m on book tour right now I’m having lots more of these moments. It’s usually lovely but sometimes not and gets tiring.

So are we all agreed that tariffs are implementation of a fed sales tax in pursuit of the long held goal of the wealthy to eliminate inc tax, also while they soft launch elimination of inc tax (no inc tax on tips/OT)?
