This fantastic book helped the children as they created their own imagined island based on their favourite current book. It was great to see what they added and the reasons behind them.

Re-read this recently and it has led to some great ideas for second person writing - I think that the children have got so many experiences of being directly addressed to in real life that it is going to be a lot of fun for them to choose moments and memories to explore.

V excited to be using this fab book to engage Y6 writers as it will inspire children to be inventive and use humorous ideas linked to everyday life. It’ll work well with the training we got from @hywelroberts.bsky.social and @writingrocks.bsky.social last year because children will have ownership

Yet another wonderful Jenny Pearson book. If the government are serious about promoting reading throughout next year, then they need to be working with authors such as Jenny Pearson who are able to excite readers time and again.
