Throwing some casual pepper to Ichiro under a spring sky while listening to the Four Tops seems like it might trigger another baseball-related “Is this heaven?” moment.
Ichiro is Baseball. ⚾️
At last year’s Mariners Spring Training, Ichiro showed up unannounced, by himself & casually did his thing.
When I asked why he was there, a Mariners staffer shrugged: “Oh, he just shows up whenever he wants.”
There were maybe 3 people watching.

Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
