This sadly plays right into Trump's hands. At a minimum he'll say this proves that deployment of the military is needed to deal with out-of-control crime in liberal cities. He'll also likely use this to check off one of the boxes for declaring martial law so he can make this a proper dictatorship.

I meant to say "the smaller the responsibility you believe you have" (at a subconscious leve).

You've pretty much described the Milgram experiment and its derivatives. The smaller a cog in the machine that you are, the less responsibility you have.

I have been eligible for the ACA at times. I had a check in the mail and bought the insurance I thought worked best for me and my family (among eligible choices). I could either get a subsidized monthly rate, or receive a big check as part of my IRS tax refund (I did the latter).

What if the construction and completion of Trump's ballroom is so delayed that it goes beyond the end of his presidency? Is the next president obligated to finish it as planned? Will the funds still be there or will tax payer dollars have to fund it? Can it be turned into a museum of tyranny?

Trump has absolutely no reason to pardon Maxwell except as a quid pro quo. No reason.

Worth noting that that restriction is part of the US Code and that Hegseth wears jackets with flag linings and flag pocket squares.

Trump, 2016: "You will have great healthcare at a fraction of the cost."

Also Trump: "We’ve got to get rid of the $19 trillion in debt."

Woodward: "How long...?"

"Well, I would say over a period of eight years."

Why would anyone think a guy w\ 6 bankruptcies under his belt could do any of this?
