Richard Tice consistently claims to be standing up for "Christian values", on the basis that "we are a Christian nation".

If that's your pitch, you can't just tell the Bishops to shut up when they criticise your policies.

Ultimately it matters not if your constitution is written or unwritten or codified or uncodified…

…once those in power do not recognise political or legal rules higher than their own personal or partisan advantage it is constitutional ‘game over’.

Constitutions need constitutionalism, most of all.

Nigel Farage has, inevitably, said that this ruling means “Illegal migrants have more rights than the British people under Starmer”.

The court’s short summary makes it explicit in two separate places that didn’t even enter into its reasoning, which centred on criteria for injunction.
"We should say at the outset what this appeal hearing is not about: it is not concerned with the merits of Government policy in relation to the provision of accommodation for asylum seekers, in hotels or otherwise."

(The "not" is underlined in the original)

Journalists, and the public, really need to learn the difference between an asylum seeker and refugee, and stop using the terms interchangeably.
This headline is inaccurate. It is people granted refugee status who will have their lives wrecked again by an idiotic, unworkable policy, pushing homelessness for refugees NOT people seeking asylum onto councils

Be cruel & appease racism is the actual Govt strategy

Home Office set to halve time asylum seekers spend in hotels
The time given to people granted asylum to move from hotels to their own accommodation will be cut from 56 to 28 days.

I appreciate the posts from Labour activists about the vital work they are doing on the ground to oppose Reform but Starmer and his Cabinet seem far closer in rhetoric and in substance to Reform than even a centralist Labour government of the past like Wilson's or even Blair's.

These were National Front talking points when I was young, and attacked by everyone except extremists. BNP when I was older: the BNP was run off for being racist cunts. Now The Times is cheerily discussing what might happen “if the population was to be sieved.” Also “camps” is very deliberate.
The Times editorial line: "sieve" the entire population so we can put 100s of thousands of people into camps.

"Removing a city’s worth of people would be an extended exercise. Identity cards would be a must if the population was to be sieved into legitimate and illegitimate camps"

Dear Labour government.

Please grow some balls.

The collective racist madness is not representative of most of the electorate.

Please start calling it out.

"everybody who's out there thinking of using VPNs...verifying your age keeps a child safe...So let's just not try and find a way around. Just prove your age."

Finally, as I've already pointed out, the "up to 1.2 million illegal migrants" number on which Thames Water and the Telegraph based their false claims, and which included legal migrants, has officially been retracted by Pew.

No journalist should be using it.
