Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm so sorry to hear that. That is how I'm feeling scared and diminished. I'm good at my job, all this is getting in the way. I just don't know what to do. Line manager messaged saying I'm missed. Feels like an abusive relationship 😕

This and other things has led me to go off sick because I feel unable to work, I feel under scrutiny all the time, doubt my abilities, and question my decisions. I am looking for another job which is sad because I love teaching 😢 how can I challenge this atmosphere ##toxicworkplace

I have been accused of having an affair with my line manager who only promoted me because of the affair. Even though this is wholly untrue the line manager stated we should rethink our working relationship #toxicworkplace 1/4

This also included being told that now I was in a managerial role I must 'power dress' as my favourite shoes DMs were inappropriate even though there are expensive and smart (not sure why I'm justifying them) #toxicworkplace #women 1/3

This alongside ignoring my thoughts about bullying from a male member of the team who constantly undermined me in front of students and mansplained whenever he got the chance - I was told I was jealous of him #toxic #workplace #women 1/2

It's from my male boss who also used words like combative if I challenge him. There are many other examples of words he uses with me but not male colleagues.
