We had someone over to clean the fireplace and chimney yesterday and the tl;dr of it is that if we use the fireplace, the house could burn down.

I went to Iceland last year and found this book of patterns in the gift shop of the National Museum. It’s huge and it was $200 and I didn’t buy it. But every now and then, I wonder what I could have done with all of the amazing patterns in it.

One of my Christmas gifts. Not quite 1000 yards of sport weight yarn, dyed by a friend. Not sure what I’ll do with it yet, but it’s nice to imagine the possibilities.

As a kid, I thought adults had Things Figured Out. As an adult, I’ve kept waiting for that to happen. And it has, in a few ways.
But maybe we just get good at pretending we know what we’re doing, figuring things out along the way. And that’s OK.

I took a load of books to Powell’s and came home with one book. Now I just need to not lose the gift card that still has $70 on it.
