I certainly don’t know our constitution verbatim, but I know the gist of the Preamble, and the amendments, and that we have 3 co-equal branches of government. In the USA we have people in high positions who I don’t think could pass the citizenship exam

Just because they have a JD doesn’t mean they know civics. There’s a lot of politicians who seem to only know 3 Amendments: their right to say whatever comes to their damned fool head, 2A, and 5th/“I do not recall”
