And thank you! It was a spooky cemetery wedding.

And they welcomed my (now) spouse into the family when they initially met back in 2019.

So having this important milestone at their gravesite to have them involved was highly important for us.

Many tears were involved and I’m grateful to all the folks that were involved in making it happen.

They also told me repeatedly how proud they were that I was getting my degrees, talked about visiting, seeing me graduate, and the memories and experiences.

They often told me about how small I was as a baby, their time with me and my brother, and all the family stuff.

I remember calling them both when doing my masters and just answering question after question about bugs.

We talked about my time emceeing variety and burlesque shows, eating fire, and entertaining audiences in various ways.

As I got older they became the aunt and uncle who knew I did magic and sideshow and chose to become a scientist. They knew I integrated my performer background into my lectures and appearances, and we talked about how both influenced one another and benefited.

John and Pam had an immeasurable impact on magic. They mentored so many magicians, designed so many effects, offered advice and mentorship, and so many other things.

For me they were the aunt that knit my baby blanket and my weird uncle who used my bathroom to do his hair.
