When talking about a big publisher flopping around and doing badly, gamers need to internalize two things:
1) yes, you're probably right the CEO sucks at this, and
2) if you were in charge, you'd be worse

Big studios (MSFT, Capcom, Sony ...) need to get used to making $30 smaller titles again.
1-2 year dev time (max 2.5) basic features, lower budget visuals, lower potential profit margin at start, long tail
Feels like they just forgot they need a year's gaming pipeline and remasters ain't it

Cannot stress how incredible it is to be a geek in this era rather than in the '90s. You can find every type of person at Tokyo Comic Con.

Ok, the ice belt area in metroid prime 4, that's pretty much peak metroid prime right there. That bit on its own is absolutely terriffic. If that bit on its own was an independently made small scale game, it would be a 10/10.
