Last summer it was effectively only a fan for a couple of months until I finally got them to send a tech out and after spending a long time doing diagnostic stuff this was his big solution. So that's good right?

I think I found somewhere in Potts Point that's a bit better! I fully expect the area to be A Bit Much but it's just somewhere to sleep where I don't have to go far

Thank you for the cover exception, work radio switched to Christmas music the second it hit November but they're at least too cheap for originals so I get the joy of a really dreary acoustic version instead

And when I told people I was doing this I got a lot of "why do you want to go to Mildura?" and this is why, the sheer expanse of it. And (not pictured) the slightly uncanny quality of this area that should by rights be a desert but has a major river and so is full of citrus plantations

I really adore it. Last year I drove home for Christmas and took two days each way to do a scenic route - I went along the coast one way which is a road that very deservedly gets heavily marketed to tourists and is just stunning. The other way I went way inland where it starts getting very arid

Huh I'd been labouring under the assumption that it was a Sydney thing, admittedly I don't read it particularly often! But yeah I've noticed it here too from people who should know better, in this case I kinda read it as inner city snobbery? This is what it's like north of Bell Street kinda thing
