Another fun wolfdog type: Calupoh!
Calupohs originated in Mexico as a heritage project to bring back the wolfdogs recorded in a pre-Colombian works. They started as wolf/GSD/husky mixes in the 90's and are now recognized officially as a breed Mexico.
They're gorgeous, too!

Also not to be confused with a Saloos wolfdog or Tamaskan! Sarloos, in particular, tend to have more recent wolfy DNA and typically have Czech wolfdog in them already. Tamaskans likely originated from selectively breeding northern domestic breeds (husky, samoyed, etc.) to look like wolves.

Czechoslovakian wolfdogs were originally bred from working line GSDs and Carpathian grey wolves back in the 50's. It is 100% a domestic dog and not a wolf - but is an exceptionally driven breed that needs a lot of training and experienced handling.
