I legit LOL'd at "Listen up, you scrubs!" Great payoff for the juxtaposition setup.

Wow @rosalynnart.com, these are great! I love the gesture match to the body styles, it's such a clear illustration of character and personality with both subtlety and clarity. Your ultra-clean rendering style is also a treat, as always.

In short, you rock, these rock, thanks for sharing!

Family and professional life were big factors: supporting them meant prioritizing stable income sufficient to our needs, and my hobbies & dreams couldn't do that.

Later, health became a factor. It's only riding the end of this train, though; I was done long before that.

I miss it dearly.

I reached a plateau where I couldn't progress in the limited time I had available. I either needed to double down, accept my plateau, or move on.

I've since raised multiple instruments to the same level of semi-competence; most sit there mocking me, rarely touched or tuned.

Seems a good time to re-post one of my favorite pieces of sand art ever, ℅ Pufferfish.

Oh, these are fabulous! The spatial/structural quality of the forms is immaculate in both its rendering and its consistency, but the ability to layer so much expressiveness into it at the same time is truly masterful.

Truly a delight!!

Is "booming" the sound they make when they form an impact crater?

These falsehoods are so easily disproven, and demonstrably out of touch with day-to-day lived experience; who is still trapped in such a bubble that this is remotely persuasive?

Thanks for taking the time to put that together and share.

I've been working full-time in-headset for the last 6.5 years, and it still surprises me how little manufacturers understand about the use of spatial interface design, or even how/why to use it in the first place.

Lots of uneaten dogfood.

Easily one of my favorite pieces of art seen in all 2025. I love the quiet intimacy of pose and simplicity of the composition; it portends so much story happening out of frame, but puts it on pause to focus on just this one small moment, which it holds and cherishes well. ❤️
