Yep, it's the equivalent of RPG bosses being immune to all status effects. I gave it a pass in 3 because of its age, but 3, 4 and 5 are all pretty bad about it. I stopped bothering with side content altogether in 5 because everything felt pointless.

That's totally fair. It's certainly useful unplugged. I'm so used to leaving mine on 24/7 while docked so that the scheduled updates window actually runs at night (assuming it doesn't automatically wake to run and I've just been unaware of that this whole time).

Wake from Bluetooth is temporarily disabled in the beta until they figure this out. No idea if it will also be disabled in stable too or if they’ll figure it out first.

From what I’ve read this seems to be all it is, which is… fine, but still a far cry from a console experience. I’m very confused by the hype. I’d love to be wrong.

Indeed. I keep both a mini and an 11-inch Pro around because they have wildly different use cases for me. It’d be amazing to not have to juggle the two of them.
