Actually, to be clear, I'm talking about the original. So now I'm doubly baffled at the implication that there are people who for some reason think that if it was a typo it just... wasn't corrected in the remake?

Nope. It's played pretty straight. No indications of different speech patterns.

This is probably a moot point by now, but just in case:
Left is Xbox One (last gen), right is Xbox Series X|S (current generation). The main identifiable differences are the different D-pads and the inclusion of a Share button in the middle of the Series X|S controller.
