When we sleep the hippocampus replays memories forward and backward allowing us to consider another path (and we have to suppress the motor movements so we didn't re-enact them). Consciousness is nothing without embodiment and action.

Every time a memory is instantiated, a subset of the remembered experiences (and confabulated experiences) are replayed in our sensory cortex.

It is good that embodiment is being emphasized in consciousness theories. Every thought we have about action resonates a response on the premotor cortex.

Proof is the hard problem. Humans don't do proof. We do inference. To reject anything without proof is to reject anything that humanity can do.
