Hi, I'm Sheridan!

I'm part of a 2-person development team with my more wonderful half under Autumn Court Games.

We're working on a 2025 Steam release and development of a YouTube channel.
I am primarily a programmer by trade, but have gotten decent at 3D modeling as well. VFX is a bit of a new frontier for me, so all fundamentals are good for how to build into bigger and better VFX.

Are you doing the Raytracing Challenge? Or something different?

Heyy! Yes, else Heart.Break() was the first game to make me think about getting into gamedev, and it's a hobby I've had now for years. Thank you!

@unrealdev.bsky.social thanks for bringing up StateTrees! I gave them a test run last night and this morning and they are great. When I was working in Unity I had a nice state machine I'd written, and this totally takes the place of that. I haven't tried replacing my enemy BT with it yet, but I will

Was a great game! I worked on SWGEmu and SWG:R some but just not the same :( Definitely a game worth taking some RPG inspiration from though!

Former Star Wars Galaxies player spotted? :P

StateTrees are probably actually ideal for what I'm doing :) I will try it both ways.

Right now I am doing what would be an "old" approach--state machine, BT, BB, EQS, etc. I have not used StateTrees yet but I will check them out! The Learning Agents I probably don't have a great use-case for at the moment. In my horror game, the AI only needs to be good at looking around and chase.

I see you have made a bunch of levels in a bunch of different styles. Are you generally building an LD portfolio, or are all of these going into the same project? They all look really great :) Just curious as to how they connect lol

I like! More realistic as well to just slap the bolt while not moving from scope.

Also I will still have videos coming out, they will just focus on code architecture from the perspective of Unreal now instead of Unity.

In case you wanted to immerse yourself in Jurassic Park. Looks dino-spooky :)
