Currently fixated on reading all the Poirot books in order. Currently on # 2 - Death on the Links. Set in France, a newfangled detective butts in looking for physical clues, going head to head with Poirot's "little grey cells"

I love gothic romance and gothic horror and this book is really well done, a fantastic updated version of the genre. It's atmospheric and surprising and I can't wait to find out how it ends

Week 1: Jacques Pépin - I made garbure, a ham/bean/veggie stew with toast and gruyere topping
Week 2: Scottish - Beef Olives, thin steaks rolled around a filling of pork sausage, sage, and garlic, slow roasted in a wine gravy

Just finished this and while I am a maximalist, I really don't think I'd k!ll about it
