My heartfelt condolences Maddy. Many of us are waiting to see if our next year's (already approved) HHS funding will actually happen.

I have 2 mentees who have K award proposals under review at NIMH and their study sections are scheduled to meet in February. Trying to help them stay focused.

Public universities tend to be more stable and transparent in policies such as promotion standards and procedures, and in salaries. Private universities are less accountable and can be less stable.

Withhold the $453 billion in taxes that California pays to the federal government, Governor Newsom. We get less than one-third of that back. The rest goes to subsidize red state welfare.
