Thanks I was very lucky to survive terminal diagnosis due to amazing immunotherapy.

One reason I survived is because I was lucky to join a clinical trial, which meant travel $$ to Sydney.

Rural people die faster and younger from cancer due to lack of access to early diagnosis & new treatments.

On that, being in the midst of Breast Cancer stuff, pathology has been the big cost. Breast care nurses here work in our public cancer care centre which private patients tend to us. They should be public employees. We should not have to rely on charity.

During treatment, I had to request financial help from cancer charities and was shamed for asking for too much by their local rep ("its other people's turn now"). I stopped asking and I wonder now if that was the goal. I agree it should be government funded so there is good governance & equity.
