I love them. They swoop down from their perch and nab the insects that invade the bird bath. I think they are a symbol of good luck.

Yes. We talked about this in grad school for counseling.It's the difference between authoritarian and authoritative parenting. One expects obedience as the only response and the other values the conversation to further understand the issue at hand.
