Even in WY (the strongest Trump vote) over 40% of the voting age population didn't vote. So, people who couldn't be bothered to vote were almost as many as Trump's entire vote, I suspect most of those were potential Kamala voters who thought their vote didn't matter in the Reddest state. VOTE!

SNAP is a subsidy program for companies that refuse to pay a living wage to workers, not a subsidy program for workers that are struggling with wages that can't put food on their family dinner table.

Of course, as always, it's their bad choices to work hard for companies that won't pay a living wage to their employees because those companies know that the taxpayer (many of these companies pay little/no tax) will subsidize the company by helping the workers put food on the table for their family.

Nonsense. Of course, no one changes their bedtime/waking time by an hour on many weekends each year-LOL. So doing so twice a year is catastrophic for people's health. I suspect if you did a study, you'd find most people vary their sleep time on the weekends by an hour or more many times every year.

What absolute nonsense; without DST my sunrise in June would be at 4:30AM instead of 5:30AM and sunset would be 8:00PM instead of 9:00PM. An extra hour of daylight in the middle of the night would be useless but the extra hour in the evening is wonderful.

Yet another reason why I don't plan to visit the U.S. in the future. I used to go a few times a year, now I haven't been since the start of the Trump regime first term. Lots to see in this world without travelling to the U.S.

There may well be a test of this soon, if the Trump regime continues to try and shut down the Canadian auto manufacturing, I can easily see Carney striking deal with Xi to allow Chinese EVs in Canada in exchange for some assembly and/or content, and tariffing U.S. made autos. Time will tell.

SNAP is mostly a corporate subsidy program that provides food to working families that the companies they work for won't pay a living wage to. No one in the U.S. can eat and live on $7.25 / hour.

Anybody would focus on toilets like the Trump regime does if you were as full of shit as they are.

Or maybe, congress can act to put a minimum wage in place that pays families enough to put a roof over their heads and food on the table instead of providing a massive subsidy to companies that won't pay their workers a living wage.

The fact that so many working Americans rely on SNAP benefits is the strongest evidence that your government has failed you. SNAP should be a social safety net, instead it is a massive subsidy to corporations that won't pay workers a living wage.

In the trials that should follow the downfall of the Trump regime, the "illegal people" will be a reference to Noem and her ICE criminals.
October 30, 2025 at 8:28 PM
Many people view this as welfare for lazy people, in reality SNAP is actually a taxpayer funded subsidy to companies that refuse to pay a living wage... in other words it's corporate welfare.

There are only 3 options for Trump's behaviour, he's one or a combination of incredibly rude, incredibly stupid or he has dementia... I would bet it's all three.
October 30, 2025 at 7:31 PM
It's absurd that working families cannot afford to eat and keep a roof over their heads. Allowing minimum wages to be below the level required to afford the basics of living are inhuman. Programs like SNAP should be a social safety net, not a subsidy to companies that refuse to pay a living wage.

The speaker should throw him out of the house.
