As far as I am aware schools are already doing all they can on attendance. But clearly the reason for children not attending is complex, time consuming and needs resourcing. Simply slapping another target on them is not helping anyone imo.

Every year his old cricket club, Kinloch in Scotland, have a memorial to the 10 members who lost their lives in both wars. They were lovely and sent me some info they had about him.

That's very interesting. I didn't know they had colliery artists. My great Uncle also killed in April 1918,having gone through the whole war. Picked off by a sniper whilst mending a wire. He does have a grave, in a tiny, but immaculate cemetery in northern France.

Yes, exactly this! Swifts for example, need boxes to be sited, at least 5-7 metres high under the eaves and they need a minimum 5 metre flight path in front of the entrance because they fly straight in. They also need to be sheltered from direct sun.
