🤯Despite promising to back the ENVI Cttee deal on the EU 2040 climate target, parts of the EPP are now trying to weaken it, pushing to cut the goal to 83% net, further delay ETS2, and undo key improvements!

🚫 The EPP should stop these dirty games, and keep its word to stand by EU climate action!

This year, POW Europe & our affiliated professional athletes hosted a variety of Hot Planet Cool Athlete (HPCA) workshops in schools across Europe.

This programme is designed to raise awareness and foster inspiration among youth ages 11-18 in the field of climate action.

Southern Europe is experiencing yet another unprecedented heatwave, as seen in summers before, fueled by climate change.

A somber reminder of how the burning of fossil fuels exacerbates the greenhouse effect (trapping heat inside the Earth's atmosphere), leading to dangerous consequences.
Severe heat wave hits southern Europe and raises wildfire risks
Major heat waves have pushed temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius or 104 degrees Fahrenheit in southern European countries including Italy, Spain and Greece.
