I've discovered the game Foreclosed: Amazing NPR visual style!

I really like how gradient and outlines are managed. The shading that is bleeding outside the outlines is also really nice (3rd image, the hand).

Then I can import the SVG into my Godot stroke pipeline and get to texture my mesh with scalable strokes!

(yes, there are some artifacts if the stroke intersect itself)

I'm re-implementing my building generation system directly with Geometry Nodes. So far:
- Each face of the original mesh is a building (fig. 3)
- Detection of edges that connect buildings to apply a different material
- World curvature and terrain elevation taken into account

I've added automatic generation of IDs in VisualInstance3D, so I no longer need a custom script on every mesh that I want to display..

Outline system with customizable stroke color ✨

I've added two buffers to Godot: one for the object ID, and one for the stroke color.
Then in a compositor effect, I take the stroke color from the nearest pixel in the neighbourhood.

I gave up and finally started to modify Godot itself to do what I want.

It took me 3 evenings to understand how Godot handle internally all its buffers, but I've now a custom buffer to do whatever I want with it!
