Moms strawberry rhubarb pies are one of my favorite indicators summer is officially here. And she always bakes one just for me to take home cause I'm the baby and still get spoiled like I'm a child.

I just discovered this series of books and am excited to dive in. All I've read so far is Helen Kelles letter to the NY symphony orchestra, out of the music one, but it was really good. I love books you can pick up, turn to a random page and get something out of it. These are in that category.

We have created a society that reveres wealth far too much humanity far too little. A persons bank balance doesn't determine their character. How they treat people when no one is looking and theres nothing to be gained, that, imho, tells me what kind of person you really are.

But I thought we couldn't just give homeless people money because they'll only spend it on booze and drugs?!?! It's almost as if people with the means to help would simply rather not and seek out justification for their glaring lack of fucks to give about less fortunate people.
