𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲: Including non-food impacts in food system analyses creates problems in understanding for decision-makers/the public. We've wide variation food system emissions from circa 21% to 34% of total. Let's be clear in what is included and how in each assessment.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀: Sectoral budgets reflect feasibility within assumed constraints; boundaries are absolute biophysical limits. Let’s use budgets or allocations for food system emission and environmental targets unless a genuine biophysical boundary is justified.
