I think it’s very personal. I don’t believe in anything supernatural - I think the world is a natural place - and full of awe and wonder. But I am also a secularist in the sense of the word that pertains to freedom of (or from) religion. We all find our own way in this world.

Thank you Stevie! I knew that an archaeological, political, economic approach to the spread of a religion - treating it as any other cultural phenomenon - would be contentious. But I didn’t anticipate how vitriolic - and unashamedly ad hominem - some of the pushback would be!
