Today’s full body workout. 3 1/2 inches of heavy snow. #warriornun #nunsrantheworld

Deer tracks across the snow on the driveway lead up a small slope & past the leafless rose-of-sharon bush. Path shoveled in the deck, 99 percent of the snow has been cleared off the car, which is a dark grey Ford Fusion.

Four large wild turkeys on leaf strewn ground under a maple tree from which a bird feeder is hanging. I may have scattered sunflower seeds under the feeder in anticipation of their snacking needs.

Bumper crop of frost flowers today! These form when the temp is freezing & water in a certain kind of plant's stem is drawn upward & expands as it freezes. The stems split, the water freezes on contact with the air & creates ice formations.
A small area of stubbly growth has white clusters scattered around it. Cone-shaped ice formations around two plant stalks.

Got some trail time in before darkness fell & we hit the trail again as part of the Owl Prowl group at the Louisville Nature Center. Did a little over 3 miles. #WarriorNun #NunsRanTheWorld
Leafy, muddy trail winds thru leafless fall trees, lit in the back from the setting sun. Oh, deer! Eight point buck was one of three strapping boys hanging together & stripping remaining greenery of low-hanging limbs for dinner Disc-shaped mushrooms interspersed w/green moss on a downed tree trunk Barred owl, looking down at us from his high perch in a leafless tree.

Final home game of the season for Racing, last time at Lynn Fam Stadium until next March (where did summer go 😩). Took a 3 mi walk over The Big 4 Bridge into Indiana for a coffee and back. #WarriorNun #NunsRanTheWorld

Last Mon-Thurs 6 mile total lunch walks on Le Concrete Loop. After work volunteering at the humane society includes a sighting of one of our outside kitties lounging out front. #WarriorNun #NunsRanTheWorld

Mon/Tue 3.5 mile Le Concrete Loop walk. Later this evening, I’ll make a delicious & healthy chicken/tomato/spinach/cous cous soup, but immediately after work I was starving & made a Taco Bell run. This was the car in front of me. 🤣🤣❤️

Closed out vacation spectacularly w/Garbage concert. Shirley was electric, engaging us during & in-between songs. This is their last tour ☹️ bc they’re (insert Scottish accent) “just too fuckin’ old.” Judging by how ravenous I was after the concert, I burned a LOT of calories. #NunsRanTheWorld

Sunday: about 2 mi of waterfall adventures. 1st Multnomah Falls, which was unpleasantly packed with people. We skipped the trails after seeing the falls & moved on to the quieter surroundings of Zigzag Falls in Mt. Hood National Forest. #WarriorNun #NunsRanTheWorld.

Multnomah Falls cascade down a huge cliff, stop and form a pool, then continue on in a second fall. Cliff & greenery at Zigzag Falls parking lot Stone cliff wall at one side of the dirt & evergreen needle trail. The roots and bottom part of a large tree trunk stick out of one part. Zigzag Falls are wide and cascade powerfully down rocks covered in vivid green moss.

Friday’s adventures in Oregon included seeing the Columbia River where it meets the Pacific, the Pacific, and the mt’s from my friend’s deck.
