“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

Is it that people are emboldened because of the Trump win or subconsciously falling into old habits. I honestly feel like they mean well but when you brag about setting up an Advisory Group in PR and Comms that is global and only include a certain group in the pictures, it perpetuates the bias. SMH

Whenever I ask leaders and employees, "What went wrong?" One of the top answers is, "We failed to communicate."

What hurts me is that when we get this right proactively, we limit disruption and things tend to go smoothly. When we get it wrong, it's an uphill battle to correct and build trust.
