It isn't just a flat piece they sink in there, it's literally sitting on top of the screw top. To be fair to me, it's ALSO A PART OF THE SCREW TOP! I thought it was just another layer! I was wiggling my not-screwdriver spike around to make the hole bigger, whole damn plug came right now.

Update: I have vanquished the mildly-grody Gatorade. My reward was a Christmas tree-shaped Little Debbie Brownie and a snowflake-shaped York Peppermint Patty.

It's like 3AM.

Being an adult is often very stupid.

No one who sees this will openly admit to cursing their inability to shift the camera slightly to the right.

I am 100% getting the paint out and redoing those front-of-mask vents, by the way. Those are irritatingly shallow. I need to learn to use my scribing tools to be able to make spots like that deeper.

As far as I know, this kit, the BB Senshi #200 version of the RX-78-2, is the only SD kit of that Gundam to not use -any- stickers on the shield. The simple joy of not having the cross as a sticker made it a no-brainer. #Gunpla

It's a cute gimmick. The top of the head and the sides all pop off and slot in to give the illusion of opening panels. The downside is the top of the helmet's kinda just wedged in and held there by the force of the sides, which means it's a weensy bit unstable. Still cool, though! #Gunpla

Falcon arrived, too. This is the ESB version. Pen for scale. My goal here is not to use a single sticker. Because there is no way any sticker that small actually stays down. My painting skills aren't amazing, but whatever I end up with will surely look nicer than nonstick stickers, right?

Also, I forgot the rule because I'm still adjusting - this is some old plastic, and it can and will scar easily. The sides of this helmet do not look good. Worse than they should, in fact. I had trouble fitting the pegs into the slots though, so I wonder if that piece came out of the mold weird.
