I just forgot to mention it because of the whole 30+ years of what you'd expect a trans woman's relationship with their dad to be, but I without him I wouldn't still be here so mad shout outs there too.

But what I'm most thankful for is my friends who come to MMMM every week, my big sister @ms-theman.bsky.social who is out there fighting the good fight, and my mom, who has just recently kicked cancer's ass.

And, y'know, Godzilla. But I think that part was understood.

I'm thankful for anyone who reads this, because that makes you one in a thousand.

I'm thankful for weed gummies, MST3k marathons, and dinosaurs. Without dinosaurs we wouldn't have turkey, so now turkey day.

I'm thankful that we stole Thanksgiving from colonialism and made it aboot celebrating native American history, culture, and people. Aside from like one guy I don't really talk to people who still think anyone celebrating turkey day gives a shit aboot the pilgrims. Fuck the pilgrims. It's ours now.

I'm thankful also for all of the times it's not upsetting. All the videos I've seen of people fighting back against the gold shirts - and surviving - and of all the ordinary people who have been pushed too far who said enough is enough.

I'm thankful for whatever allies we can get, even temporarily.

I take it back the 2010's series is the best one. PotM was WAY better than I remembered.

You need like 15mg of green to really commune with the tree Godzilla. Also Metphies is so fucking creepy in retrospect, holy shit I hate him, he's so good. And also completely right.

As for what I'd get someone to watch, I guess Biollante, but like it really depends on the kind of movie they want to see.

I also don't like the idea that it's up to me to convince someone to like Godzilla with my influence. Feels like forced conversion. If you don't get it that's kinda on you.

BUT if I had to pick since G-Fans keep using "Heisei" instead of VS series I'm gonna cheat and pick that since that includes both of mankind's greatest works, Biollante and Planet Eater, plus also Tokyo SOS, so that's pretty one sided to me.

Favorite picking isn't happening because that's asking me to compare the experience of different times of my life. But the 2010's series definitely isn't the same "era" as Minus. There was a 5 year gap, a new era name, a continuity reboot after the last 3, and the whole homeless thing in between.
