However, 2019 data is available. The Canada Growth Council previously targeted Manitobans in the 2019 federal election by running 58 anti-Liberal attack ads on Facebook. 14 ads targeted former Liberal MP MaryAnn Mihychuk, and six targeted Liberal MP Terry Duguid.

In June, Manitobans received a controversial mass text message from a group called the Canada Growth Council regarding the upcoming provincial election. The text was a pro-Tory attack ad using inflammatory rhetoric.

The Plymouth Brethren members’ Commission sent an “urgent” memo to “Canadian Households” in January 2005 urging them to oppose the “Same Gender Marriage Bill,” according to a copy of the memo obtained by PressProgress.

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church appears to have compiled a booklet of letters from members across Canada asking George Bush to pressure former Prime Minister Paul Martin and opposition leader Stephen Harper to oppose gay marriage in 2005.
