This happened to a band in my local music scene and they got some benefit from it, but on the flip side people show up to their shows and don't know how to behave

So, this isn't about crime. It's about continuing the agenda of rounding up black and brown folks. I also theorize that the Trump administration wants violence from Chicago residents to use as an excuse to escalate their power grabbing tactics.

Chicago is used frequently in conservative talking points to claim that gun laws aren't effective. Not only that, Chicago is a sanctuary city and houses migrants that came here to claim asylum. I know many folks here who are DACA recipients and they're afraid of deportation.

This isn't about crime. There are many more cities with higher crime rates than Chicago. Note how many of these are in red states.
