A painting I have been working on “Spring Ruins” Acrylic on Linen, 30” x 24” from a walk in the woods at a local State Park. The ruins are hard to find but it’s been interesting over many years to see how they have changed. #ruins #contemporarylandscapepainting #walkinthewoods

A painting I have been working on “Ruins in the Woods”, 24” x 20”, Acrylic on Linen. From photos I took of ruins of a home and barn in Marsh Creek State Park, PA. Milford Mills was a village that was taken by eminent domain for flood control and to create a state park in the 1960’s.

New Year’s Day 2024, a better beginning than 2025.

From a New Years’ Eve Day walk, I was interested in the bands of sky and added the very tall trees as a dark contrast. This path always feels like a gateway or new beginning and I like to walk here in the New Year.

A painting from a winter walk by the frozen lake with a fallen tree and people on the ice fishing and walking. It is Acrylic on Linen 20” x 24”. It has been a while since the lake has been this frozen and the colors were beautiful.
