But too often, Calafiori ended up the player arriving in the final third. Not ideal.

Compare that to Nwaneri in a similar spot later.
A natural attacker, Nwaneri used a body feint to get goal side.

To break the block, Arsenal used smart rotations:

🔄 Merino (striker) drifted ball-side to overload wide areas.
🔄 Calafiori’s movement caused issues down Forest’s left

Here’s a clip where Arsenal use left sided rotations and numerical superiority to beat the block.

Like many teams recently, Forest’s block was lopsided— overloading ball side to deny space.

Short-term this works, but it leaves:

Their wingers constantly dropped back to help in defence.

The goal?
