Do you always order a Vindaloo or a Phal when eating at an Indian restaurant? I prefer the milder dishes sometimes, that way I can appreciate the subtleties in the herbs and spices.
I feel the same about erotic fiction: Less description = more heat.

Yesterday I was energised by a visit to my capital city - met a good writing friend for drinks / lunch / a visit to the Tate Britain. We talked about our lives, our writing projects and ... everything. Fun day
