My usual walking route took me through a StEAT Festival, and they served takoyaki, one of my absolute favourite foods, so I had to get them.

Was just myself and my dad this Father’s Day. He likes a simple steak and fires dinner, and I was happy to make it.
I couldn’t have asked for a more awesome dad. I know he may not fully understand me, but he’s supportive beyond belief.

It may have bitter in its name, but make no mistake…. That won’t prepare you for just how bitter this satanic cucumber is.
Made a bitter melon and tofu curry, which was good, but need to work on prepping the bitter melon so it doesn’t become overbearing.

Shits falling off my car yo….
Car started making some noise about a minute away from my parents house… pulled into the driveway and this fell off into the driveway.
Apparently it’s still fine to drive, but always a little alarming when parts are literally falling off.

Something I forgot to share here from a while back…
This is onions, garlic, chillies and fennel. I got lazy and just tossed them in a food processor to chop them.
For some reason, they turned green while cooking. Still tasted great though.
Probably related to the blue garlic effect I guess?

It’s Friday! Family pizza night!
And it’s me… you know my fave topping.
It was delicious… I’ve got the broccoli and mushroom duxelles down. The dough keeps getting better and better… but still need a bit of tweaks to get where I want it to be.
